Governors have been asked by Congress to give feedback on their desire for Medicaid Block Grants.
These block grants could harm services for people with disabilities and affect funding for assistive technology.
Assistive technology includes manual and power wheelchairs, scooters, special seating systems, and speech generating devices.
Governors have until TODAY, Friday, January 6, to weigh in on their state programs and federal assistance.
Before tomorrow, call, email, Tweet, and Facebook Governor Rick Scott to let the federal government know:
FLORIDA DOES NOT support Medicaid Block Grants because they will cause undue harm to Floridians with Disabilities. This includes PER CAPITA CAPS!
Governor Scott’s telephone number is 850-488-7146.
